A league of its own

The league program at Haig Point ensures no one will be left out of the action. Whether you prefer singles, doubles or mixed-doubles, you’ll find a team with an open spot. There is also the comraderie that comes with competition. Teams from the Point compete locally (via our fast ferries of course) at Palmetto Bluff, on Hilton Head Island and throughout the region. It’s one of the special aspects of life here – for ours is the most special destination for visiting teams, and our members extend a warm welcome.

Haig Point has the distinction of being named a USTA® Outstanding Facility Award. “We are proud to recognize the Haig Point Club for its continued devotion to the sport of tennis,” said Kurt Kamperman, Chief Executive of USTA Community Tennis. The Haig Point Club has hosted USTA-sanctioned tournaments and pro exhibitions. Both USTA adult and senior leagues are popular here, and the club has hosted several charity events. The Tennis Club annually hosts the Daufuskie Island Adult Championships, featuring amateur play for men and women in both singles and doubles, with divisions for adults age 35 and older.
