Assistant Professional of the Year
Haig Point Club is proud to announce that Assistant Golf Professional, Matt Bova, has won the Assistant Professional of the Year Award for the Carolinas PGA Section.

Haig Point Club is proud to announce that Assistant Golf Professional, Matt Bova, has won the Assistant Professional of the Year Award for the Carolinas PGA Section. Matt’s consistently high level of excellence here at Haig Point along with his volunteer service to the Carolinas Section andHilton Head PGA Chapter were strong influences on his winning this award. His commitment to promoting the game of golf and assuming the image of a Golf Professional are to be admired. Matt is to be congratulated for this great accomplishment as this is the highest award bestowed to an Assistant in our Section. Matt will be recognized at the 22ndAnnual Special Awards and Honors Ceremony on February 22, 2015 at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center in Greensboro, NC.

Established in 1923, the Carolinas PGA Section of the Professional Golfers’ Association has grown to be the largest of the PGA forty-one sections with 2,000 professional members. The Carolinas PGA Section embraces North and South Carolina as well as a small portion of southern Virginia. The Carolinas PGA is dedicated to nurturing and improving the quality of the game for the thousands of golfers using its member facilities. PGA professionals are responsible for conducting a variety of golf-related functions, which include human resource management, golf shop merchandising, golf instruction, tournament operations, junior golf programs, growth of the game initiatives, golf club repair, administering the rules, public relations and much more.
