Haig Point is private club and community located on the tip of Daufuskie Island, a gem of the sea islands that is the southernmost in the Carolinas. Located between Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and Savannah, Georgia, Haig Point is easily reached by ferries that run on frequent schedules, as well as water taxis available 24/7. Everyone makes their way around on bikes or electric-powered golf carts. Festive, fun, and absolutely unforgettable.

Wedding Venues
Haig Point has 1,100 picturesque unspoiled acres bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, Calibogue Sound and Cooper River. Throughout are ceremony locations that give you the opportunity experience breathtaking sunsets under the shade of ancient live oaks trees, peaceful, serene. It’s an incomparable setting for your once-in-a-lifetime moment.
The Tabby Ruins Lawn
A spacious manicured lawn overlooking the Calibogue Sound to Hilton Head beyond, the Tabby Ruins Lawn is bordered as well by the Strachan Mansion, Croquet Courts and our Constitution oaks. This area is a perfect place for outdoor events under the tent. The white tent can expand to be as large as 75x40 feet or reduced to 40x40 feet depending on the size of the group.
Beachfront Calibogue Club
The Calibogue Club is the closest venue to the beautiful Calibogue Sound and has uninterrupted views of the Harbour Town Lighthouse. The restaurant encompasses two floors and includes three porches. The main floor has a large screened in porch along with two side sun decks. The bar and lounge are the perfect spot for cocktails and mingling before being seated for dinner. The second level of the Calibogue Club offers semi-private dining for up to 30 guests and is elevator accessible.
The Beach Club
Adjacent to the Calibogue Club, the Beach Club is an ideal outdoor setting for your casual event, featuring a large resort-style pool, outdoor cabanas, screened in lounge and bar. With breathtaking views of the Calibogue Sound it also boasts a boardwalk to the beach, bathroom facilities, firepit and indoor/outdoor sound system.
The Clubhouse Ballroom
The Daufuskie Ballroom at the Haig Point Clubhouse is a grand space of 2,125 square feet, divisible for smaller settings. This room is the largest of the Haig Point venues, offering beautiful views of the pond and the 10th fairway. The room features two fireplaces, as well as a large outdoor veranda that spans the entire length of the dining room.

While Haig Point is a beautiful location for your wedding ceremony and reception, it is also ideal for a destination wedding weekend. Several types of accommodations are available to your guests varying from suites in the Strachan Mansion to private member homes.

The Strachan Mansion
The Mansion combines history and Lowcountry charm with beautiful views of the water and the manicured Tabby Ruins Lawn. This historical home was barged from St. Simon’s Island in 1986 and is now considered a true amenity to Haig Point Members and Guests. The Mansion features a pub, general store, game and TV area, billiard room, and sunroom as well as four guest suites on the second floor. The Mansion is located just steps away from the Haig Point private ferry dock and the community dock.
The Lighthouse
The bride and groom, or others fortunate in the wedding party may stay in our restored historic lighthouse. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places, it has two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, and porch overlooking Calibogue Sound.

The Lighthouse
The historic, 1873 Lighthouse is as charming as it is inviting. Set on a rise above the Sound, waves quietly lapping below, it is the preferred accommodations for the bride and groom. The Lighthouse can also serve as a bridal staging area, and for brunch the morning after the wedding. For the ceremony, the Lighthouse lawn is a beautiful secluded location for wedding ceremonies of all sizes.
